Holy Disruption Book Study Groups

Pastor Amy has written a new book together with her friend and colleague Rev. Dr. Dawn Darwin Weaks. Holy Disruption: A Manifesto for the Future of Faith Communities will be published in mid-September; you can read more about the book here

The book is a guide for congregational small groups to engage new ways of thinking about church as we know it. Through stories of innovators working all over the country, readers are invited to use the six-week group study guide to begin thinking about their own contexts in a new way.

This spring and summer, test groups are running all over the country, and you’re invited to be part of a discussion group right here at Community Church of Honolulu! Groups will meet every Wednesday in the Leigh Hooley room (at the entrance of the gym) for six weeks, beginning Wednesday May 28 and ending Wednesday July 2:

Brown Bag Lunch 12 noon-1:30 pm

Evening Discussion Group 7:00 pm-8:30pm

Membership at CCH is not required to participate; in fact, we welcome visitors and friends from other faith communities! There is no cost to join and copies of the book will be free and available in PDF files and printed form if needed. As much participation as your schedule will allow over the six-week period will make the experience optimal! A commitment of at least 8 participants is required for the group to proceed; groups will be capped at 15 participants.
