Pastor Search Announcement
Dear ALL,
The Pastoral Search Committee is pleased to announce we have unanimously selected Rev Dr. Amy Butler as our recommendation for Community Church of Honolulu's Settled Pastor.
This recommendation by the Pastoral Search Committee follows surveying the congregation as to important attributes for a Settled Pastor Position, announcing the position and revised Local Church Profile on the Hawaii Council United Church of Christ website, and following interviews with three candidates.
Please note the following two important dates:
On Sunday, April 6, 2025, there will be a Question and Answer session in the sanctuary after a shortened service. We invite everyone to come to learn more from the Pastoral Search Committee, Pastor Amy Butler, and the Council. Please come with your questions and concerns to help you in your decision in the vote for the Settled Pastor Candidate.
On Sunday, May 4, 2025, there will be a Congregational Meeting to vote on the Pastoral Search committee's recommendation of Pastor Amy Butler as CCH's next settled pastor.
As President, this is your official notice of this Congregational Meeting. We need a 2/3 majority vote of members present so please plan to be in service on Sunday, May 4, 2025, the vote will be in the sanctuary directly after service.
